Eat Your Breakfast?

You’ve heard it said many times, “don’t skip breakfast! It’s the most important meal of the day!” Truthfully, that’s not entirely accurate. Skipping breakfast is not linked to weight gain or increased calorie consumption later in the day. But, another study found that there could be a correlation between skipping breakfast and heart disease. While this study did not establish a cause and effect between skipping breakfast and heart disease, it does imply that those who skip breakfast may have other lifestyle practices that contribute to heart disease. Bottom line, if you don’t like or regularly eat breakfast, it’s ok, but maybe take a look at other habits you might have that could potentially lead to cardiovascular disease.

Personally, I love breakfast. It’s my favorite meal of the day. Sooo, if you’re into it, here are a few of my favorite recipes.

Olive oil

Chipotle hot sauce

Instructions:

Heat olive oil. Cook your egg the way you enjoy it most (for me, it's over easy) and place a slice of sharp cheddar on top, allow it to melt into egg. Toast your buns! Put a layer of cream cheese on your bread, place egg on top, layer with onion, spinach, hot sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
